SBA Opens Business Recovery Center in Broward County to Assist Floridians Applying for a Disaster Loan

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today it will open a Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Broward County at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, at the Urban League of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale. At the BRC, SBA’s Customer Service Representatives will assist Floridians applying for SBA disaster loans for losses due to severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred on April 12-14.

PNC Foundation Grants $50,000 to Urban League of Broward County to Grow Black-Owned Businesses The PNC Foundation has awarded the Urban League of Broward County a $50,000 grant to support the economic empowerment and social mobility of dozens of small, Black-owned businesses in South Florida. The PNC Foundation grant will be used for the uBiz Co-Lab program – a cohort learning model that offers business owners access to six months of personalized business coaching by experts in marketing, IT, accounting, operations, and legal advice.
