We believe that health and wellness education is the key to optimal growth for our children and families. Our health programs are designed to ensure that preventative care advances and vital health resources reach those who need them most.

 

Program Overview

Living Well is designed to improve the lives of those who are at risk of developing or have been diagnosed with a chronic disease. LivingWell incorporates the Stanford Medicine Self-Management Curriculum that teaches community participants healthy eating, health-monitoring, and problem-solving techniques to better manage their health. In addition, Living Well promotes healthy activity through low-impact exercise initiatives such as walking clubs and family fitness sessions to get the community active by leading walking groups and exercise sessions.

Program Overview 

Project TOTTS (Together Our Tots Thrive & Survive) works in collaboration with Broward Healthy Start to provide comprehensive prenatal and infant educational empowerment programs. Program activities include community outreach, nutrition seminars and workshops, childbirth education, home visiting, and parenting education and support.

Program overview

Community Doula Program aims to address the issue of black infant mortality, particularly in the 33311 zip code, by providing prenatal and postpartum doula services to the community. The program also prioritizes self-advocacy with healthcare teams, social determinants of health, and authentic care and support.  The program is an extension of the Broward Black Babies Matter projct and a joint effort woth the Broward Healthy Start Coalition.
