Urban League Named CSC Organization of the Year

The Urban League of Broward County Named as the 2019 Children’s Services Council of Broward County Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award in the Collective Impact for Youth Category

Fort Lauderdale, Fla, (March 11, 2019) – On February 22, 2019, the Urban League of Broward County won the Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award in the Collective Impact for Youth Category at the 9th Annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards presented by Signature Grand and hosted by 2-1-1 Broward.

Nominated alongside two other Broward based non-profit organizations, the organization was selected for its collaborative effort in creating the Justice Task Force which responds to and addresses the desperate need to improve relationships between youth and law enforcement.

The mission of the 9th Annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards is to recognize and bring awareness to the collective work and impact of the non-profit organizations and leaders in Broward County.  This specific award honors an organization that has worked in partnership with one or more Broward County-based agencies to advance the safety, stability, and well-being of children/youth. “

“We are very proud to be a sponsor of the Impact for Youth Award,” said Cindy Arenberg Seltzer, President/CEO of the Children’s Services Council of Broward County (CSC). “Although all of the nominees were equally worthy of being selected, we truly appreciate the long-standing partnership between CSC and Urban League on so many fronts and the enormous positive impact their work continues to have on the children and families of Broward.”
