Urban League launches new programs with funding from Humana and BankUnited
Companies contribute over $1 million in support of new programs during Diabetes Awareness and Entrepreneurship Month

WHAT:

Press conference: BankUnited and Humana will present contributions of more than $ 1 million to the Urban League of Broward County following its annual Stakeholder Meeting with local executives and elected officials.

 

The press conference/check presentation will officially launch the activation of two initiatives at the Urban League: diabetes awareness and prevention, and small business development. BankUnited announced an investment of $1 million in the Urban League’s Small Business Loan Fund and the Humana Foundation announced a grant of $350,000 to fund the Urban League’s Living Well health program.
