First Time Homebuyers Workshops

The Urban League of Broward County, a HUD Housing Counseling agency, First Time Home buyer's Education workshop will host virtual workshops monthly in-person and via ZOOM. The workshops will be offered in a one (1) day, eight (8) hour workshop from 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

This workshop is for all who are interested in purchasing a home and/or understanding the steps to homeownership. Attendance will be taken when you enter the online workshop. You must attend the workshops in its entirety to receive the eight (8) hour Home buyer's Certificate of Completion. This workshop is facilitated by a Housing Counselor who will help you better understand the home buying process. You will also hear from professionals such as lenders, realtors, home inspectors, title companies, and insurance providers. Topics covered in this workshop include; but are not limited to: Which mortgage products are right for you; Current market conditions; Home warranties; Lending Options Fees, credit scores, and budgeting; How much home you can qualify for and afford; Getting the most out of working with your realtor; and Closing on your home.

This is a FREE in-person and online event. Each participant must register individually with your full name, email address, and telephone number via Eventbrite for both workshops. Class participation requires internet access and a device to stream the workshop, such as a tablet, desktop computer, laptop, or smartphone.

The online meeting access to ZOOM will be sent to your email along with an intake packet to complete and return prior to attending the workshop.
