Urban League of Broward County Announces New Board Leadership and Six New Board Members
Fort Lauderdale, FL – February 10, 2015 – Urban League of Broward County welcomes a new chairman along with six new board members to help lead the organization as it celebrates 40 years of service and hosts the National Urban League Annual Conference on July 31-August 1 in Fort Lauderdale. Shaun Davis, managing partner of S. Davis & Associates, will serve as the 2015 Board Chair, succeeding Fred Perry.
The six new area executives who will join the board for 2015 are:

The new board members join Urban League of Broward County at a momentous time in the history of the agency.
As part of celebrating its 40th anniversary, the organization has launched its “Breaking the Cycle” of poverty campaign, highlighting its many employment, education, housing and healthcare programs and the need for the community to support them.
The Urban League of Broward County is also preparing to host the 2015 National Urban League Annual Conference on July 31-August 1 in Fort Lauderdale, which will draw up to 10,000 people and boost the local economy with an influx of up to $10 million in spending.

Davis, CPA, incoming board chair of Urban League, of Broward County. “We’re grateful for the service of all of our new board members who will not only bring knowledge and experience to their governing role but who will also help us reach new heights during this exciting and critical year. The new board members serve for between two to five years. In all, the Urban League of Broward County has 25 board members representing all segments of community.
