An Urban League of Broward County Education Program
Asset Building Leads to Excellence (ABLE) is designed to increase positive decision making in middle school students in an effort to reduce risk factors associated with substance abuse, teen pregnancy, delinquency, and school failure. Youth are provided with tutoring and homework assistance after school and on non-school days, employability skills training, physical fitness, life skills, and cultural and leadership activities. ABLE is currently offered at William Dandy Middle School.

ABLE YOUTH FORCE CAREER EXPLORATION DAY
ABLE students toured the local Fire-Rescue Department as a part of their career exploration kickoff in December. The students engaged in a question and answer session that inspired many of them to consider fire fighting as a future career.
