YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Building academically, behaviorally, socially, physically, and morally strong youth is the goal of the Urban League of Broward County's youth development programs. Two primary vehicles used by Youth Development programs target youth as well as their parents. Structured after-school programs are used to provide tutoring, group discussions, counseling, and leadership skills development. Parent PRAISE meetings are used to promote parental involvement.

Crime Prevention and Intervention and Black on Black Crime Prevention works with out of school youth, ages 10-18. There are seventeen program components which provide services to youth and their parents in an effort to prevent youth of color from becoming involved with the criminal justice system.
