YPN June Meeting: "The 21st Century Resume: How to Get Noticed"

Join YPN for our upcoming meeting and hear from HR professionals on how to get noticed for rewarding career opportunities.
Vanessa Gregory, VP of Human Resources for BrightStar Credit Union, Janelle Blake, Director of Human Resources for the United Way of Broward County, and Chris Ellison, Executive HR Consultant for Integrity Human Capital Management will answer questions about how the resume-writing rules have changed drastically in the past 5-10 years and what you can do to make sure your resume can become eye-catching without being off-putting. We will discuss other job search tips and tactics designed to make you stand out.

2010 YPN Volunteer Opportunities:
Get Involved Today!

 The Urban League of Broward County is co-organizing the South Florida's Military Family Stay Connected Event with the Florida National Guard. This is going to be a family filled day of FUN! The military families will be pre-registering for the event in order for us to get a count of how many families will participate. There is the potential that 1600 families will attend the event but we think the realistic number is between 300-500 families. YPN members will be assisting with the kids activity ranging from three legged races, tug-of-war, potato sack races, etc. YPN members will also be needed to help man other stations. This is going to be a BIG EVENT!

Date: Saturday, June 12, 2010
Time: 10am - 3pm (volunteers need to arrive by 9am)
Location: Hollywood National Guard Armory & Dowdy Field
910 W. Dixie Highway, Hollywood, FL
Attire: YPN T-shirts & jeans/shorts
Please contact Melanie Clarke to sign up as a volunteer (She is looking for 10+ volunteers). If you can't stay the whole day, let her know your time frame as well.
