Party Like It's 1975!

Urban League of Broward County’s Equal Opportunity Day (EOD) Red Gala is a celebration of the leaders and achievers in the community and a vehicle for continued support. It is an opportunity to embrace old friends, but also to introduce ourselves to new friends. Last year, we invited guests to join us in 1920/30’s Harlem Renaissance. This year we will be celebrating our 35th Anniversary of serving the Broward County community by looking back from whence we came!

The fashions are unforgettable: Bellbottoms, platform shoes, halter tops and Gauchos. The hairstyles were even more diverse from the afro to the “Farrah.” The music was fun and flirty from disco to funkadelic. The 70’s gave us fun slang like, “Can you dig it?” “Right On,” “Groovy,”
“Gimme some skin,” and “Dy-no-mite!” So all you dudes and foxy ladies get ready to laugh boogie and take stroll down memory lane!

Special Features:
Patrons will be encouraged to wear period dress
(70’s attire).

Special retrospective performance from 1970’s – Now!
70’s music will play throughout the night with touches of modern music.

Awards will be given for: Diversity Champion, Margaret Roach Humanitarian, Youth Award.

Cost: $200 per ticket; Sponsorships starting at $2,000
