Health and Community Empowerment

Community Empowerment serves to build bridges in Broward County's under-served communities, specifically 33311, increase awareness of health disparities and empower youth to embrace a second chance through positive social development. Diversion and violence prevention programs, health initiatives, beautification projects, and community forums are all apart of the empowerment process.

EMBRACE
is a youth diversion program for male and female youth, ages 8 to 18. The project serves youth who are referred by the State Attorney's Office. The project provides opportunities for youth to reconnect to their community through community group conferences with trained community volunteers and staff, weekly life management classes, restorative community service, and social and cultural enrichment activities.
